Josh Hils

Coach Josh Hils is a 1997 graduate of Keene State College in New Hampshire with a degree in Health Education and earned his Master’s degree in Administration from Plymouth State University in 2007. He has coached varsity basketball at Keene High School (98 – 2002) before coming to Coe-Brown. In 2005, Hils took over the varsity girls soccer program and has been the longest tenured coach in the girls program history.
Coach Hils brings over 29 years of high school coaching experience and knowledge to the program. Coach Hils values hard work, focus, and a team first attitude. His emphasis on personal responsibility in and out of the classroom is essential to the success of the program.
Since taking the program, the girls soccer program has made 14 NHIAA tournament appearances. In 2013 and 2014 the Varsity Girls advanced to the NHIAA DII Semi-Finals. In 2023 Coe-Brown finished as the NHIAA DII Runner up.
In that time, the girls soccer program has produced 39 All-State student athletes, 15 collegiate student athletes, and the program has been recognized 11 times by the United Soccer Coaches Association of America as an All-Academic Award recipient. in 2022 the program was awarded the United Soccer Coaches Association Platinum Award for Ethics and Sportsmanship for the Fall of 2022, one of only 25 schools nationwide to receive the honor and the only school in NH to be recognized.
Coach Hils has been awarded the Skip V. Reagan Sportsmanship Award by the NH Soccer Officials Association and was a member of the NHIAA Soccer Committee for seven years. He was also recognized as Fosters Daily Democrat Coach of the Year in 2014. Coach Hils is also a contributing writer and member of the editorial review board for Coach and Athletic Director Magazine. IN 2023 Coach Hils was selected as the NHSCA DII Girls Coach of the Year and was selected as a coach for the NH Lions Cup Soccer team.
Coach Hils played collegiately at Rhode Island College (92 – 94) and Keene State College (95-97) as a member of the Men’s Basketball programs. He was named Captain his senior year at KSC (1997).
